Book a tasting

We bring the tasting to you, at home, at the office, or wherever your group is gathering. Everyone tastes properly, learns something worth repeating, and nobody has to organise a thing on the night.

Every tasting is led by one of our educators, and Melbourne Wine School is a WSET approved programme provider. The teaching team is led by Andy McIntyre, who holds the WSET Diploma and is a Master of Wine candidate. That is the difference between a tasting and someone pouring wine at a party.

A guided tasting your group will still be talking about afterwards. We build the evening around you. All you do is turn up.

Team events and client entertaining.

One of the better ways to get a room talking. We also run formal WSET training for corporate groups, and will work with your event planner or caterer.

Bespoke

Your theme, your wines.

A deep dive into Burgundy, old world against new, a sake evening. Tell us the idea and we will build it.

Send the enquiry over and we come back with dates and a recommendation, built around your group and the theme you picked.

We turn up

Wine, glassware, tasting notes, all of it. One invoice at the end, so nobody has to split a bill.

    Every tasting includes

    A certified Melbourne Wine School educator, guiding your group through every wine
    Wines chosen around your theme, your occasion and how well the group knows wine
    Tasting notes for every guest, so they leave with something they can use
    Proper tasting glasses, brought to you, taken away and washed
    Guests at any level of experience welcome, from complete beginners up
    We work with your event planner, hotel or caterer if you have one

    The practical bits

    Group size
    From 9 guests. Up to 30 when we come to you, and more by arrangement. Our Richmond room seats 12.
    Where
    Your place, anywhere in Melbourne. Or ours, at Level 1, 41-43 Stewart Street, Richmond, directly opposite Richmond Station.
    Glassware
    Included. We bring proper tasting glasses, take them away and wash them. Breakages are charged at $8 a glass.
    Food
    A selection of cheeses, chosen to sit alongside the wines, for $25 a guest. You are also welcome to organise your own food.
    Payment
    One invoice, payable by card or bank transfer. Purchase orders welcome for work bookings.
    How long
    One and a half to two hours, depending on the number of wines and the size of the group.
    Booking ahead
    Two weeks is ideal. We need time to source the right wines, and the better the bottles, the longer that takes. We will always try to help at shorter notice.
