The online course covers the exact same WSET syllabus as our in-person classes. Your certificate is identical. There is no distinction on your qualification.

Educator support throughout
A WSET-registered MWS educator is available to answer questions and provide feedback on tasting exercises throughout the duration of your course.
Remote invigilation
Level 1 and Level 2 exams can be taken remotely via your webcam. No need to travel to a test centre. Ideal for students outside Melbourne or interstate.
12 months access to course materials
Once enrolled, you retain full access to the WSET Online Classroom and all study materials for up to 12 months from your course start date.

How online learning works
1. Enrol and receive access
Once payment is received and your enrolment form returned, you'll receive login details for the WSET Online Classroom.
2. Study at your own pace
Work through video content, reading materials, quizzes and tasting activities on your own schedule. There are no set login times.
3. Get support when you need it
Your MWS educator is available throughout the course to answer questions and provide feedback on tasting exercises via the Online Classroom.
4. Sit your exam
For Level 1 and 2, sit your exam remotely from home via webcam. For Level 3, attend an in-person exam at our Richmond location or an approved test centre.

Is the online qualification the same as in-person? Yes. The syllabus, assessment and certificate are identical. There is no distinction between an online and in-person WSET qualification on your certificate. |

Do I need to purchase wines to complete the course? We do not currently include wine samples for the Level 1 or Level 2 online courses. Students are advised to taste a range of wines during their studies and will receive guidance on recommended styles through the Online Classroom. |

How does remote invigilation work? For Level 1 and 2 exams, you sit the exam from your own computer at home, monitored via webcam. I live in regional Australia. Can I still study online? Absolutely. Our online courses are available to students anywhere in Australia. Level 1 and 2 exams can be sat remotely from home. For Level 3, the exam must be in-person — contact us to discuss options if you're based outside Melbourne. |

How long do I have to complete the course? You have access to all course materials for up to 12 months from your start date. There are minimum recommended study hours per week — regular participation is essential to cover the material before your exam. |

What devices do I need? A working laptop or desktop computer is required for the examination. iPhones and iPads are not compatible with the WSET exam system.
