Refund policy

Courses, tastings, events and online courses are not covered by this policy. Bookings for WSET courses, tastings, events, 4 Week Wine Evenings, private and corporate events and Online Academy courses are governed by our Booking, Cancellation and Transfer Terms, at melbournewineschool.com.au/pages/terms-and-conditions. Those terms set out when fees are refundable, the administration and transfer fees that apply, and the deadline for each. Please read them before booking.

Digital study tools are not covered by this policy either. Study passes, question banks, map quizzes and other digital study material are made available immediately on purchase, for a fixed access period stated at the point of sale. They are not refundable once accessed, and access cannot be extended or transferred.

Memberships are covered by our Booking, Cancellation and Transfer Terms at melbournewineschool.com.au/pages/terms-and-conditions. Membership fees are not refundable. You may cancel at any time and your benefits remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.

The policy below applies to physical goods only: wine, books, printed flashcard decks, vials and other items we post or hand to you.

Returns on physical goods
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, contact us at mws@melbournewineschool.com.au. Returns need to be sent to:
Melbourne Wine School, Level 1, 41-43 Stewart Street, Richmond VIC 3121.

If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us immediately if an item is faulty, damaged, or if you have received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and put it right.

Items that cannot be returned
Certain items cannot be returned: perishable goods, custom or personalised products, and personal care goods. We also cannot accept returns of hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases. Opened wine, and wine that has not been stored appropriately since it left us, cannot be returned. Gift cards and sale items cannot be returned. Please get in touch if you have a question about a specific item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return, and let you know whether the refund has been approved. If approved, you will be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return, please contact us at mws@melbournewineschool.com.au.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. These rights apply in addition to this policy, not instead of it.
