Should the student wish to attain the course material before their course days, it is the student's responsibility to ensure that they organise receipt.

Your booking is made, and these terms take effect, when you complete checkout and payment is received. We confirm your place by email.

WSET courses also require a WSET enrolment form, which we send to you after booking. It must be completed and returned, with a signed and dated student declaration, by the date your course administrator gives you. Returning the form is a condition of sitting the examination, not a condition of your booking. If it is not returned by that date your booking still stands, the cancellation terms below apply in full, and you will be treated as not attending.

Bookings close 15 working days before the course start date. A booking made within 20 working days of the course start date is non-refundable and non-transferable from the moment it is made, and we will make this clear before you complete checkout. Where we accept a booking after the 15 working day cut-off, it is accepted at our discretion on the same basis. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Victorian public holidays.

Cancelling your booking. More than 20 working days before the course start date: fees are refunded, less a $75 administration fee and the cost of any study materials already supplied. Materials must be returned to us unopened for their cost to be refunded. Twenty working days or fewer before the course start date: fees are not refundable. Not attending, without cancelling: fees are not refundable, and no transfer or credit is offered.

If we cancel or reschedule. Occasionally, due to lack of demand or other unforeseen circumstances, a scheduled course may have to be cancelled or rescheduled. Affected students will be given as much notice as we can, and will be offered a place on an alternative date or a full refund, whichever they prefer. Where an alternative date is accepted, students have 12 months from the original course start date to attend, after which fees are forfeited.

You may request a transfer to another course date, or to another person, more than 20 working days before the course start date. Approved transfers incur a $75 transfer fee, plus the cost of any additional study materials required. All transfers are subject to availability and to our approval.

Transfers requested 20 working days or fewer before the course start date are not permitted. This includes any request to transfer a WSET examination date.

A booking may be transferred once, and must be taken within 12 months of the original course start date, after which fees are forfeited.

Melbourne Wine School has a zero-tolerance policy for threatening behaviour, or acts of aggression or violence, whether physical or verbal, towards any member of our staff or any other student. Any violation will result in removal from the course without refund.

If you are unwell on the day of your course, a medical certificate is required. Without one you will be treated as not attending, your course fees are forfeited, and full fees are payable to re-enrol.
