2020 Vicentini Agostino "Il Casale" Soave Superiore

I challenge you to find a better Soave on the market!

The top cuvee of Agostino and a Tre Bicchieri (Three Glasses) award winner, the Soave Superiore "Il Casale" by Agostino Vicentini is made with 100% Garganega (sourced from 2 different vineyards, one old volcanic soils, the other old limestone from an ancient seabed) and both are exclusively vinified in steel. Malolactic conversions are kept to only partial but this wine sees 12 months aging on its lees before bottling.

Tasting Note:
One of the better examples of Soave, this is an attractive white wine with an intense aromatic nose of yellow peach and orange blossom with a herbaceous finish of hay and sage. Medium body on the palate with flavours of citrus and green fruits and fresh almonds, made more distinctive by a light smokiness, and carried along by a deliciously chalky texture.
